Minwax Helmsman Spar Urethane is a specially formulated protective clear finish designed for both interior and exterior wood projects. This one-gallon container delivers a durable, flexible coating that resists the elements while enhancing the natural beauty of wood grain. Whether you’re refinishing a deck, doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, or outdoor furniture, Helmsman provides reliable protection against sunlight, moisture, and temperature changes that can damage unprotected wood.
The satin sheen offers a contemporary, understated look that highlights wood texture without an overpowering gloss. Its advanced formula allows the finish to expand and contract with seasonal temperature shifts, preventing cracking and peeling even in high-traffic areas or demanding outdoor environments. With special UV blockers and water-repellent properties, this urethane keeps wood looking fresh and vibrant year after year.
