Power Up Your Routine

Hyperice Hypersphere

The Hypersphere is a vibrating massage ball, 5 × 5 × 5 in and 2.8 lbs, with a high-torque 30W motor sealed inside a rubber-coated shell. A roller spreads your weight along a cylinder. A ball of this size concentrates it into a contact patch about the width of two fingers, which is the whole point of the shape.

Three speeds of vibration run through the coating, and the battery holds up to 2 hours on a full charge. The weight matters more than it looks: at 2.8 lbs the sphere holds its position under load.

Why A Sphere And Not A Cylinder

A ball and a roller apply the same vibration in very different ways. Geometry does most of the work here, and the specification list explains the rest.

⚫A 5 in rubber-coated sphereHyperice points to the shape and the rubber coating together. A sphere touches one small area at a time, and the coating gives it enough grip to hold that spot on a floor or against a wall while you press into it.5 × 5 × 5 in⚙️High-torque 30W motor30 watts inside a ball you can pick up in one hand. Torque is what keeps the vibration going once bodyweight is on top of it, which is the load a massage ball spends its life under.30W?3 speeds of vibrationThree settings, stepped up from the control on the ball. Hyperice states the speed count but publishes no vibration frequency in Hz or RPM, so the settings read as low, middle and high against each other.3 settings?2 hours on an 18V chargeBattery life runs up to 2 hours on a full charge, refilled from an 18V wall charger that plugs straight into the ball. The shape and the coating do the aiming

Hyperice credits the Hypersphere shape and rubber coating for how precisely it can be placed. A 5 in ball meets the body at one point, so the pressure that a roller spreads along a foot of muscle lands instead on the spot you actually meant.

  • Size: 5 × 5 × 5 in, a full-size massage sphere
  • Weight: 2.8 lbs, dense enough to hold position under load
  • Rubber coating for grip against a floor, wall or bench
  • Speed: 3 speeds of vibration through the whole shell

Three items, one of them a wall charger

The Hypersphere takes an 18V wall charger, the same class of power supply Hyperice puts with its full-size rollers. That is a consequence of the 30W motor inside: this is mains-charged hardware, not a USB accessory.

  • Hypersphere: the ball itself
  • 18V charger: plugs into the wall for fast and easy charging
  • Additional plug adapters (2): to charge your device no matter where you are
  • Battery: up to 2 hours on a full charge

Vibrating Rollers And Spheres

Two rollers and two spheres. The rollers cover ground; the spheres press into one spot. Within the spheres, the choice is between a full-size ball with a wall charger and a palm-size one that charges over USB.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Weight 2.8 lbs. Battery up to 2 hours on a full charge. Size 5 × 5 × 5 in. Speed 3 speeds of vibration. Motor high-torque 30W. The Specs tab on this page carries the same list.5 × 5 × 5 in, so a 5 inch ball. That is around the size of a grapefruit: large enough to sit stably under a foot or beside a shoulder blade, small enough to hold in one hand while you work on a forearm or a calf.Because a 30W motor, its battery and a rubber-coated shell all live inside a 5 inch sphere. The density has a practical benefit: at 2.8 lbs the ball resists being pushed away when you lean on it, which is exactly what you want from something you are trying to hold on one spot.3 speeds of vibration. No vibration frequency in Hz or RPM is published for the Hypersphere, so the three settings step up relative to each other and cannot be compared numerically against another brand’s figures.A high-torque 30W motor. Wattage is the only motor figure published. Torque is the relevant property for a device used under bodyweight, since the motor has to keep the shell moving with a person pressing down on it.Up to 2 hours on a full charge. No charge time is published, so plan on charging it overnight. From an 18V charger that plugs into the wall for fast and easy charging. It is a mains power supply, not a USB cable, which follows from the size of the motor. Additional plug adapters (2) are included for travel.Three items: the Hypersphere itself, the 18V charger, and additional plug adapters (2) so you can charge your device no matter where you are.The listing describes a rubber coating over the shell, and credits that coating alongside the spherical shape for how well the ball can be placed on a specific area. No further material breakdown is published. This listing states TSA approved: approved by TSA for carry-on, and the two spare plug adapters in the box point the same way. Screening rules are enforced by the agency at your departure airport, so check locally before an unusual route. No app or Bluetooth connection is published for the Hypersphere. It is operated entirely from the control on the ball, stepping through the 3 speeds of vibration. If app-guided sessions matter to you, the Vyper rollers are the models that list Bluetooth.Size and power source. The Hypersphere is the full-size ball at 5 × 5 × 5 in and 2.8 lbs, with a 30W motor and an 18V wall charger. The Hypersphere Go is the palm-size travel model that charges from a USB cable and ships with a desktop stand. Both give three speeds.Ask what you are treating. A roller covers a long stretch of muscle in one pass, which suits quads, hamstrings and the length of the back. The 5 in sphere concentrates the same vibration on one area at a time and reaches into the sole of the foot, the glute and the space around the shoulder blade, where a cylinder has no way in.Keep it on soft tissue. Avoid resting your weight on the ball directly over bones, joints or an area of acute injury, and speak to a healthcare professional before using it if you are recovering from something specific or you are unsure whether vibration is appropriate for you.Worth knowing before you compare spec sheets: there is no vibration frequency in Hz or RPM, no charge time, no Bluetooth or app support, no auto shut-off timer and no warranty term published for this ball. Every figure on this page comes from the listing itself.
