Its heater array leans the other way from the wide-bodied GDI-8230-01: eight heaters in total, with five of them near infrared elements and three PureTech Near Zero EMF FAR infrared carbon panels. Most rooms that reject a sauna reject it on depth. Golden Designs’ answer here was to hold the exterior depth at 41 inches — matching the two-person GDI-8020-03 — and add the seating across the width. The result is 56 inches of interior width in a shell 41 inches deep. Golden Designs state the roof overhang adds 5 inches to that, so measure your wall clearance at 46 inches, not 41.

Golden Designs’ array here is five near infrared elements to three FAR carbon panels. It is the mirror image of the GDI-8230-01, which runs six FAR panels to three near IR elements, and it is the reason the two three-person cabins are worth comparing on more than footprint.
