The Bulldog Car Safe in this size measures 11.3 x 6.9 x 2.5 inches outside, with about 10 x 6.4 x 2.5 inches of space inside for one handgun. It is powder-coated steel with a matte black finish and a scratch-resistant lining. A keyed lock opens it without batteries or a code to remember.
The safe comes with a mounting bracket and hardware, and once the safe is locked it cannot be lifted off the bracket. A 3-foot security cable is also included for times when you cannot bolt anything down, such as in a rental car or hotel room. Loop the cable around a seat frame or bed rail and through the safe to anchor it.
The low 2.5-inch height lets it slide under most truck and car seats or sit in a center console. Bulldog lists it for cars, trucks, vans, boats, offices, and homes.
