The BEP Marine Pro Installer 400A EZ-Mount Battery Selector Switch gives the 1-2-Both-Off sequence, front-wired and waterproof to IP66.
The 1-2-Both-Off sequence is the familiar arrangement, and the Both position is the one worth understanding. It parallels the banks, which is useful for emergency starting but should not be left selected in normal running, since it removes the separation that protects the starting battery from house loads.
EZ-Mount construction connects the heavy battery cables from the front, cutting the rear access a surface-mounted installation would otherwise need. Three removable side plates give cable access while keeping the finished installation protected.
It shares the interconnection height of the Pro Installer bus bars, so switch and distribution cluster into one coordinated assembly.
